Once again we want to thank you for your continued support for the work in Romania and we look forward to hearing from you, or meeting you on one of our receiving-in days. Our trip to Romania in April/May went very smoothly especially in our newly acquired vehicle. We managed to buy a one year old van just a couple of weeks before we left, when we took over 20,000 Easter Eggs. We visited many of the projects we support and left financial aid for them. How wonderful to see the continuation of the good work which is being done in various parts of Romania. Whether it is helping poor families out of severe poverty, or seeing many people becoming Christians through the love of those who are working with them. Thank you for all the financial gifts you have given to us. Whether it is for a family or for a project, those in Romania are very grateful
We are very grateful for the gifts we have received from our appeal in June/July. We have raised about £40,000 towards this new building. Having the work on hold because the builder could not continue was very worrying but through prayer and financial support the Hospice committee have found a new builder – ABEDNEGO – and they have already re-commenced building and hope to have the ground floor finished by Christmas. If you would still like to give towards this work we will accept donations. Please mark ‘FOR EMANUEL HOSPICE’.
Dr Vali continues running The Old Peoples’ Home in Otelu Rosu, together with various activities in the other buildings. They also have a charity shop in the town. Pastor Costel in Tecuci is now fully involved with a large medical centre built mainly by the Americans. They not only meet physical needs but spiritual ones also.
As you see from the needs list it includes finance for the projects we are supporting and we would be grateful if you could consider them prayerfully. If you wish to make a regular donation by standing order to any of the projects, please request a form from us. The social workers at CASA GRACE, ORADEA, are always looking for sponsors for poor families. If you would like to sponsor a family please contact us either by email or telephone.
We will leave on Wednesday 11th November for our 152nd trip. Collection dates 19th & 26th October (9am-1pm) and 2nd November (9am-5pm). We shall be travelling around the country visiting various projects with finance and distributing the sweets we will have received. We shall also visit Gherla prison. We hope to arrive back in Cardiff on the 25th November. Please remember the drivers in your prayers. We will be collecting Easter Eggs next year to take to Romania at EASTER 2016 and will send further details about the collection in January 2016.
We are grateful that we continue to have depots in Llanishen and Talbot Green, both rent free and our drivers still continue to pay their own expenses.
Thank you again for all your support as we work together for the Lord in Romania.
With Christian love,
Alan & Ann Penrose (on behalf of the trustees)
